Trans-Urethral Microwave Therapy (TUMT) is a non-invasive procedure to treat urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate. TUMT uses a specially designed urinary catheter with a microwave antenna is inserted through the urethra and guided to a location inside the prostate which emits a dose of microwave energy that heats and destroys excess prostate tissue blocking urine flow.
