What does RBC mean?
Red Blood Cell (RBC), also known as Red Blood Corpuscle (RBC) or erythrocyte, is a type of blood cell responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and carrying carbon dioxide back to the lungs to be exhaled.
RBC contains a protein called hemoglobin, which carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body. A single drop of blood contains millions of red blood cells which are constantly traveling through your body delivering oxygen.
