What does AQI mean?
Air Quality Index (AQI) is an index for reporting air quality on a daily basis. It is a number used to convey the quality of the air. The higher the AQI value, the greater the level of air pollution and the greater the health danger. AQI was created to assist people in understanding how their local air quality affects their health.
AQI is based on the measurement of major pollutants such as Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10), Ozone (O3), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Carbon Monoxide (CO).
