Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) It's weird because I honestly, I'm so like, I'm not motivated by, like tangible, like I'm not like motivated by numbers or like, you know, awards or honestly, once I got the Grammy noms I was like f**k it peace, I'm out like, it really just, you know, because I think, now I'm just like the thing that is driving me is, I have so much more to say, and I enjoy what I do so much. The creation of it all.

Sivan : I want to, I can't wait to, my favorite thing is, when like my collaborators and myself surprise ourselves with something, you know, like I don't think I could have made this album two years ago, and I wouldn't want to make it again. So, it's like, that is the thing that kind of is keeping me going, I think. Yeah.
シヴァン：僕は、コラボレーターや僕自身を驚かせるようなものを、作りたいだけさ。例えば、このアルバムは2年前には作れなかったと思うし、もう作りたくないんだ。それが、僕を突き動かしているんだと思う。

Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) Thanks for the question. I think if I had to pick one, it would probably be songwriting. If I had to pick a second, it would probably be the music videos. Yeah, because I think, like I definitely don't have, what's it called? cenesthesia or whatever. But um... but when I'm inspired by the music in the studio, the music video comes like that, like it's like super super super, they're very linked to me. I think because it's both just storytelling, so those two I would say.

Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) Yeah. So, I have voice memos of like all of the songs as they were being written, and then, I definitely use my notes app for sure to write down little ideas and stuff, like for example, 'What's the time Where You Are'.
シヴァン：（観客からの質問に答えて）そうだね。曲作りの途中で、僕は、ほぼ全部の曲のボイスメモを取っているんだ。メモアプリを使って、ちょっとしたアイデアとか、例えば「今、あなたがいる場所は何時？」みたいなことを、書き留めているよ。
Sivan : That was a note in my phone, because I was talking to this guy who was overseas, and he asked me 'What's the Time Where You Are' and I was like being so in my feelings about him, and I was like, wow, he definitely could have googled that, because he knows where I am, so, the fact that he asked me that question means that he like really is super into me, and so, but it was like, it was the gesture of, it was so sweet that I... that was what kind of like sparked the song for me, so, I wrote that down on my phone, and then, forgot about it for like 6 months, and then, you know, come back to it.
シヴァン：そう、携帯に入っていたメモの話をするとね。僕が、海外にいた男性と話してた時に、彼に「今何時？」って聞かれたんだ。彼は、間違いなくグーグルで検索できたはずだった。僕の居場所を知ってるんだからね。でも、あの質問をしてくれたってことは、本当に彼は、僕に夢中だってことだよね。すごく優しい気持ちになったのが、あの曲（What’s The Time Where You Are?）を書くきっかけになったんだ。携帯にメモしてから、6ヶ月くらい忘れてたんだけど、また思い出してね。
Sivan : I wish that I was a journal girl, but I'm just not, like, my handwriting is so bad, it takes me too long. I also am like constantly changing lyrics as I'm doing it, so scratching it out and whatever. But I try sometimes I'll like, be fake and try, but it's never worked for me. Yeah.
シヴァン：僕が、女の子みたいに、日記をつけるタイプだったらよかったんだけど、無理なんだ。字が下手で、時間かかりすぎるからね。それに、歌詞を書きながら、どんどん書き直したりもするし、消したりもするし。時々、ちょっと無理してやってみることもあるんだけど、全然うまくいかなくてね。

Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) Literally only when you put it like that, like now is the very first time that I have felt overwhelmed by it. Um, yeah, that sounds really scary. But no, in general, in general, no, because ultimately like I recognize I've had, you know, my family was like so so so supportive and my friends were so so so supportive and I grew up in Australia and like I, you know, like came out, and my record label was like cool, you know, like it was all, it's all been really really good for me thankfully.
シヴァン：（観客からの質問に答えて）そういう風に言われてみると、本当に、圧倒される感じかもね。そう、すごく怖い感じ。でもね。結局僕は、家族がとてもサポートしてくれて、友人たちもとてもサポートしてくれていて、僕はオーストラリアで育って、カミングアウトして、僕のレコードレーベルはクールだったし、ありがたいことに、すべてが僕にとって、本当に良かったと思う。
Sivan : And so, I, the pressure that I feel is more just to try my best to kind of like, use that as best as I can, because I realize how like insane that is, and how lucky I am, so, I feel that pressure for sure. Yeah.
シヴァン：だから、僕が感じるプレッシャーは、そういったこと全てを、最大限活用するように全力を尽くすっていう感じかな。すごくクレイジーなことなんじゃないかって思うし、僕がすごく幸運だってことにも、気づいてるからね。確かにプレッシャーは感じるけど。うん。

Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) Yeah, I think that's, it's weird that you asked that, because I feel like, part of the reason why I wanted to write the album, was because I actually love having this conversation with people, because I went through it, and I remember when I first started going through it, I went on the Wikipedia page for breakups, because I was like so lost. I was like, there's surely not this is not what it's like for everyone else, right?
シヴァン：（観客からの質問に答えて）うん、そうだね。そういう質問をされるのは奇妙なことだけれど、僕がこのアルバムを作ろうと思った理由の一つは、そういうこと全てを、伝えたかったからさ。僕自身がそういう経験のなかで、すごく途方に暮れて、ウィキペディアで、僕の恋人との別れについてどう書かれているか、読んだのを覚えているんだ。「みんな、一体どう思っているんだろう？」
Sivan : Like I'm having a very intense experience. And so, when I looked it up, it was like, no, there's been studies and stuff. Don't quote me on this, but it's like akin to a death, you know? It's like, it's a real sense of loss in your life, and so, I think number one just realizing that unfortunately, in the nature of, the nature of a breakup, is that it is going to be terrible.
シヴァン：すごく、強烈な経験だった。調べてみたら、僕たちの別れについての研究結果が、いろいろあるみたいでね。そのまま引用するわけにはいかないけど、僕たちの別れが、まるで「死」に似ていると、表現されていたんだ。人生における、本当の喪失感みたいなものなのかな。だから、まず、残念だけど、「別れ」ってひどいものなんだと、認識することだと思う。
Sivan : You know, like I think just realizing that and accepting that can kind of help the process a little bit, and then, the thing that I started to feel was, then you start to see those little sparks of yourself, where you're like, "Oh, I'm more resilient than I thought." or, "Oh, people are more hot than I thought." Or whatever, you know, like little things start to kind of like come back, and that's so much of what this album is about. This album was that process for me where like the hope started to come back and everything like that.
シヴァン：そのことに気づいて受け入れるだけで、少しはプロセスが楽になると思うんだ。それから僕の中に、小さな閃光が見え始めた。「ああ、僕は思っていたより回復力があるんだ」とか、「ああ、人は、思っていたより魅力的だなあ」とか、そういう小さなことが、少しずつ戻ってき始めるのを感じた。それが、このアルバムのテーマなんだ。このアルバムは、僕にとって、まさにそういうプロセスだった。希望が戻ってきたり、そういう全てのプロセスさ。
Sivan : And I started to want to explain to people who I saw, they were where I was a year prior, and I'm like, trust me, on the other side of this, you're going to know yourself so much better, you're going to, and so, part of the album is like it is that, conversation where I'm like, "No, no, no. Look what is going to come for you." You know what I mean? So, maybe um yeah, go back and listen again now, and see. But then, yeah, there's like, it's going to be good. (Read more in part10)

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.

"It's true, babe...I've been saving this for you...Promise me you'll hold my hand if I get scared now...Might tell you to take a second baby slow it down...You should know I bloom, I bloom just for you."

Sivan’s eight-minute, 17-second coming-out video is a rare thing, equal parts star power and vulnerable humanity. He had promised himself he would come out before signing a record deal, knowing it was the only way he could write music that would be completely honest. When pressed, he now says he briefly wondered if it might have lost him some young, infatuated female fans, but he “had no other choice.
