La revue Sources <\/em>lance un appel \u00e0 articles pour un dossier intitul\u00e9 Photographier les mondes sociaux africains : production et circulation des repr\u00e9sentations visuelles<\/strong> \u00e0 para\u00eetre en 2023. Les propositions d\u2019article sont attendues pour le 30 juin 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce num\u00e9ro a pour objectif de confronter, \u00e0 travers l’usage de la photographie documentaire en Afrique, les repr\u00e9sentations visuelles du monde social que produisent et diffusent les producteur\u00b7trice d\u2019images, qu\u2019ils soient chercheur\u00b7se\u00b7s ou photographes, et qu\u2019ils travaillant de pair ou ind\u00e9pendamment. Il s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la pluralit\u00e9 des influences qui contribuent \u00e0 la construction et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution de ces repr\u00e9sentations visuelles, d\u2019une part, et aux circulations des individus, des normes et des images, d\u2019autre part. Les contributions s\u2019int\u00e9greront dans une r\u00e9flexion plus globale sur l\u2019enjeu de l’usage des photographies comme source dans la recherche en sciences sociales et sur l\u2019Afrique. Elles prendront appui sur des cas concrets et pr\u00e9senteront les d\u00e9marches suivies et les photographies produites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photographing African Social Worlds: Production and Circulation of Visual Representations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This issue aims to critically examine, through the use of documentary photography in Africa, the visual representations of the social world produced and disseminated by researchers and photographers working together or independently. It aims to focus on the multiple influences that contribute to the construction and evolution of such visual representations, on the one hand, and on the circulation of individuals, norms and images, on the other. The contributions will be part of a more global reflection on the use of photographs as sources for research in social science and about Africa. They will be grounded upon in-depth case studies and will present the authors\u2019 approach in the field and show the photographs produced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
