Good day, and welcome to my site.

My name is Artur Manuel; I develop and contribute to free and open source software. I also like reading and writing books and documentation.

I live in Cambridge, England; and I am currently studying for my BTEC in IT. I have experience in quite a few technologies as per my detours and am able to figure out complex subjects quickly. I am also very social and you can see me in many online circles across FOSS and other communities. I have a very strong knack for computers, which has also led me to system administration, systems security and hardware consulting, on which I practice against myself. I use Debian 13 with GNOME on all of my machines, but I have packaged for multiple Linux distributions including NixOS and FreeBSD among others.

Aside from development, I also aim to create desktop environments that are elegant, but productive for everyday use. This involves designing a basic uniform for to abide by, removing unnecessary elements and modifying settings to make the system as efficient and uncluttered as I could. I am also able to note my own usage patterns to tweak accordingly.

What does my tech stack look like?

Are you interested in anything but computing?

I also have an interest in many genres of music, including nerdcore, shoegaze and other genres I just so happen to want to listen to that day. I also partake in politics, on which I lean with left-wing economics while practicing libertarian values. Additionally, I also partake in reading, writing, media studies, and other cultures, communities and classes. I am also interested in mountains, and I aim to visit the Carpathian mountains one day.

I aim to interact with more of these communities in the future, especially non-nerdcore music communities, politics and media studies, as I love to learn about these topics. I like to learn about new artists making shoegaze, and I like to learn the views of others and why they believe it. I am already participating in the nerdcore communities, specifically Fanmade Rap Battles (FRB) derived from Epic Rap Battles of History.
