Setting: my apartment at night, intermittent power outages making the following situations stranger and more terrifying
The beginning I can remember is when a drunk girl knocks on my door and abruptly walks in before I can tell her I am just about to go to bed. She seems vaguely familiar and I decide she is the (non-existent in reality) Discord acquaintance who has asked me for lolita advice that I assumed lived in southern Ontario.
She starts talking to me about how she’s buying stuff online. “But not cardigans. They take too long.” “To what? Knit?” “No, wearing them.” I tell her that I think they are easier to put on than a blouse because you don’t have to position them and can just pull them on over a jumper dress or skirt. She kinda rolls her eyes. I mention Taobao and she excitedly says she “uses that shopping service too” and I get confused since you use shopping services FOR Taobao. Eventually Shawn encourages her to leave, insisting we will walk her drunk ass home. She just kinda disappears…
Dream somehow transitions to me vaguely aware of Markiplier being in my apartment. I go to use the bathroom and get a glimpse of him running by like a gorilla in red lingerie. I enter bathroom and discover the entire thing appears to be in renos with the sink missing and toilet inaccessible. I had apparently removed my pj pants and undies and I walked back out without replacing them (but oversized shirt). Mark spooks me and I run back in to put them on.

Summer 2010.
Big ol' Cavar family reunion with a bunch of second-cousins visiting.
Grandpa starts to take kids for quad rides - in this case a "bush buggy" hitched to the quad with like 8 kids in it... and then two more on the quad with him. One on the back and one on the front.
Zero helmets.
The boys went on their ride. Grandpa comes back for the girls, and we're zipping along the trails going up and down the various "gulches" and sharp turns. We did a successful run down Dead Man's Gulch, which is a very steep drop followed immediately by a steep incline. The Cavar brothers used to drive their beater trucks up and down and get stuck in it.
We approach it a second time, and as we are nearing the bottom, the wheels suddenly spin on some mud. The quad itself swerves to side and then flips sideways. Grandpa and one of the ones on the quad are unconscious and pinned with the other girl kinda tossed into the bushes. The buggy buckles and bends backward sending most of the girls tumbling out except for the smallest, a toddler who was visiting.
I remember babbling "oh my god oh my god oh my god" endlessly while running up the hill. I knew that a bunch of aunts and uncles had gone trail walking and that a nurse was among them - they were blessedly not too far away and ran to meet us because they heard screaming. I distinctly remember one of my uncles flying by me and just flinging his beer to the side.

You can own the same shoes in four different colours, and still have none that match your outfit.
In addition to these shoes, I have others in different styles. A white pair, two brown pairs (one like a light milk chocolate and one dark chocolate), a pink and lavender pair (originally for my Ariel cosplay), and more casual black pair. There's also technically a pair of gold wedges, but I use those sparingly.
And yet. xD
I bought the dark brown heels recently because I noticed my lighter brown shoes weren't really matching the browns in a lot of my outfits, argh! And these pink shoes are a very dull, peachy pink, so they don't match my pink outfits. They go nicely with the dull pinks tied into some of the prints on my outfits, though.
The red shoes also never seem to match my reds, and I have to be careful with my choice of legwear in them and the cream shoes. What is this curse?!
It's been ages since I wore anything in my (modest) collection, and that really hurts. The most recent time I wore a dress, the feeling of the petticoat rustling around was incredible, and I want to bring that feeling back!
I spontaneously bought this dress on Lace Market (photo from seller):
I am looking forward to its arrival. This sudden resurgence in my love for this fashion is so exciting!
