Alberta Pulse Growers (APG) offers sponsorship and resources for health professionals and community educators planning food demonstrations, workshops or cooking classes that focus on teaching people how to cook with pulses.

Sponsorship includes:

• $50 gift card to purchase pulses (dry or canned) from Loblaws stores such as Superstore, Extra Foods or No Frills Foods.
• Copies for each participant of the following APG print resources:
• Pulses on every plate recipe booklet
• Baking with Pulses pamphlet
• 5 things you can do with canned chickpeas, black beans, white beans & lentils pamphlet
• The Pulses: from Farm to Table PowerPoint presentation. It provides information on what pulses are, pulses grown in Alberta, why farmers grow pulses, plus the nutrition and health benefits of pulses. All the background information is included in the “notes” pages on each slide and the presentation coordinates with the Pulses: from Farm to Table workbook.
