How do I purchase a new Akismet plan?

Note: Akismet uses WordPress.com user accounts for account management. In order to manage your Akismet plan, access Akismet billing information, or update Akismet payment methods, please log in using your WordPress.com account.

How to Purchase or Change an Akismet Plan

  1. Visit the Akismet Pricing Page.
  2. Log in or create a WordPress.com account when prompted.
  3. Select your desired plan and follow the checkout process.
  4. Note:
    • Purchasing a higher-tier plan does not automatically cancel your existing lower-tier plan.
    • To remove unwanted plans, visit your WordPress.com Purchases page.
  5. If you have credit from a cancelled plan that you want to apply to a new purchase, contact Akismet support.

Managing Your Akismet Subscription

  • Upgrade or downgrade: Choose a different plan at any time by repeating the purchase steps above.
  • Cancel a plan: Visit your Purchases page and select the plan you wish to cancel.
  • Update billing information: Manage payment methods and billing details through your WordPress.com account.

Important Note About Expired Plans

If your previous plan is expired or not visible in your account, you will need to purchase a new plan. Reactivation of expired plans is not generally available.
