Description

With PayPal Surcharge you can charge your customers a small fee for the use of PayPal in WooCommerce or Classic Commerce. Call it a handling fee if you will.

Why charge a surcharge? Because PayPal is expensive, especially for smaller E-commerce sites. But you may also just want to charge an actual handling fee because you simply don’t agree with transaction fees no matter the cost. Either way, Paypal Surcharge can help you out.

As you know, PayPal charges a fee that you have to pay for every transaction, running a profitable business becomes harder and harder. Especially for smaller WooCommerce and Classic Commerce sites.

Make those margins count with Paypal Surcharge!

PayPal regularly revises and increases its fees for crappy reasons. Almost everything gets more expensive. In recent years, sometimes they doubled prices for common transactions.

Time to get rid of PayPal, right? Wrong! Many WooCommerce and Classic Commerce websites can not afford to stop offering PayPal as a payment option because so many potential customers use PayPal and rely on it. But… not all is lost. With PayPal Surcharge you can reclaim part of those transaction costs from your customers.

Percentage or Fixed amount

With PayPal Surcharge you can charge your customers a percentage fee or fixed amount on top of their cart total in WooCommerce and Classic Commerce.

Dynamic updates

The surcharge is added only if the buyer selects the PayPal payment gateway on checkout. And is removed if they select another payment gateway.

Note: Keep in mind that charging an extra fee also raises your transaction cost slightly. Set your surcharge to a sufficient amount. Advise: It is smart to amend your FAQ or Terms of Service to inform people about the surcharge. Nobody likes surprises.
