Cover Letter

Thank you for taking the time to review my CV. My hope is that having my CV in web format, that it makes it easier to find and access for everyone. If you prefer a paper resume, please let me know, and I can get one for you.

I am currently interested in a new position in the Information Security industry. A larger bank acquired the bank where I worked for 4 years, and I am not as happy in my new role, as I was at the previous bank. The only position offered at the new bank was Helpdesk, so my cybersecurity responsibilities have been reduced. As grateful as I am that they gave me a position at the new bank, I am not happy with the reduced cybersecurity responsibilities. And being put on phones, has made me feel like I am regressing in my career. I've been given no training opportunities, and I have felt stagnant ever since transitioning to the new bank. So I am currently seeing what other opportunities exist for me in the Information Security industry.

My passion for cybersecurity and protecting individuals from cyber threats drives me to keep learning to stay one step ahead of adversaries. In the InfoSec industry, a constant desire to learn is essential. When I'm not acquiring new knowledge daily, I feel like I'm falling behind. I believe that my knowledge and experience, combined with my eagerness to learn, make me an excellent fit for this field. You can see from the badges I've earned on industry-leading cyber training platforms that I am continually working to enhance my skills and improve my craft. I truly eat, sleep, and breathe InfoSec.

I look forward to further discussing the opportunity with you. And I can't wait to learn more about the security culture you represent.

Again, thank you for reviewing my CV. Should you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely, Andrew Ingram
