Gonna get back on the Linux bandwagon. X-P
I had the idea because I’ve been spending a lot of time with the Sage math software. I think all the stuff I actually use this computer for would actually be a lot easier if I stuck with the GNU crowd. There’s also the learning curve and the inconvenience to look forward to.
It’s not a complete change of heart, as I’ll be dual-booting.
Another part of the decision was that I failed my self-imposed challenge, so I’ll be putting that off until at least the beginning of next year. I want more time to prepare and grow as a person. Part of that is becoming a semicompetent programmer.
Last, I think I’m going to bastardize the Sage syntax into English as a first approximation for my goal of translating obtuse mathematical hieroglyphics into human-pronounceable sounds. I think that will be easier if I’m not restricted by a virtual machine.
I hope the wireless situation has gotten better since I last ran Fedora, and not worse. Time to go research distributions!
