So, throughout match I've been updating a guide to Team Angst fics so that people who have an aversion to unhappy endings can enjoy some of the more angst-filled stories without having to worry about character death or other things ruining their night.

I am happy to say that I believe I've read every Team Angst fic now.

So in all it's glory, I present The Softy Guide to ae-angst Fics

Some of the stories are still WIPS. I don't know if I'll be able to update the guide as I will be working on other things in fandom, but each author that, so far, has an incomplete fic is able to edit the guide and add the next chapters of their stories if they choose.


As always, I am a flawed individual and have tried to the best of my abilities to categorize everything properly, but it was difficult in some cases. Please don't hesitate to tell me if anything is improperly labeled.

So word on the street is that a lot of people are skipping over Angst fics because they can't handle the sad.

That's fine! Nobody should read anything they feel uncomfortable with.

But I do feel that some great fic is being missed out on by the practice so I've made a guide!

The Softy Guide to Angst Fics (google doc)

This will be updated as I make my way through the community. It will most likely be limited to just Team Angst fics, unless Team Romance fics specifically warn for the cries.

This will break down the fics into categories so that people can find Angst fics that they feel comfortable reading.
This doc will contain spoilers. In order to let people know if they will enjoy a fic, I have to summarize the premise, or the ending of fics. If you are not into spoilers, don't look at this doc!

This one is not comprehensive and is updated by the Authors, so all of the fic might not end up on it.


I could also use maybe one or two volunteers to help keep it updated for the fics that I haven't been able to read yet.
