Campaign Logs

This page hosts links to my ongoing and completed campaigns. Since this blog is just restarting now, this will probably be a little bare for a few months, but I hope that it fills in pretty quickly!

Ongoing

Nothing new going on right now.

Completed or Postponed

Keep on the Borderlands: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, Session 4, Session 5, Session 6, Session 7, Session 8, Session 9, Session 10, Session 11, Companion Page, POSTPONED

My first attempt at playing an adventure inspired by a module (B2 – Keep on the Borderlands). A single-PC Labyrinth Lord game that has morphed into a full party game.

The Undercity: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, Session 4, Session 5, Session 6, Session 7, Session 8, Session 9, Session 10, Companion Page, POSTPONED

This series is a recording of adventures into the City of Spires’s labyrinthine undercity, using Kabuki Kaiser’s Ruins of the Undercity generator and Labyrinth Lord/Swords and Wizardry rules.

The Wizard-Thief: Session 0, Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, Session 4, Companion Page, COMPLETED

This Pits and Perils solo campaign chronicles the adventures of Alandra, a bard (wizard/performer) on the run. I’m hoping that it will become a combination of urban/political adventures with dungeon crawls and danger. Unless she dies.

The Third Son: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, COMPLETE

An Ironsworn campaign that is attempting to replicate the D&D style quest/campaign experience. Gethin Oyvind, the third son of a nobleman, is a knight-errant adventuring in far off Ederfast to earn his right to the family’s name. One adventure was completed and a second one was nearly done when I had an issue with Iron Journal and lost all of my notes. Really disappointing.

Osgaron the Ranger: Session 1, Session 2, COMPLETED

A fun little Ironsworn adventure set in Middle-Earth. This one is actually completed!

Firuvin the Monster Slayer: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, COMPLETED

An Ironsworn game featuring a monster slayer who gets pulled into a personal adventure when one of his few friends is in danger. Exciting rolls with some heartbreaking misses toward the end.

Epees & Sorcellerie: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, COMPLETED

My first attempt at a dungeon crawl style game of the French d6-based retroclone. Adventure and danger so far.

City of Spires: Session 0, Session 1, Session 2, COMPLETED

This campaign is designed to be more of a group dungeon crawl than a narrative story the way my Garret’s Campaign is running. I have a primary PC but am going to aim to have a party explore an infinite undercity.

Barodan the Ranger: Session 1, COMPLETED

A short Labyrinth Lord game set in Middle Earth. Fun but brief. Definitely makes me want to do another ME game soon.

Goblin Slayer: Session 1, Session 2, POSTPONED

This is a party-based Pits & Perils game based on the Goblin Slayer anime–a highly stylized combination between anime and western fantasy pen and paper RPG tropes.

Arthurian Freeform: Session 1, POSTPONED

An unfinished, rules-light adventure with two characters set in King Arthur’s Court. Played without a true system while I was on vacation.

Guildless: Session 0, Session 1, Session 2, Companion Page, POSTPONED

This is my first game using The Dark Eye rules. It’s a solo PC adventure in a world inspired by dark folk tales.

Gideon’s Game: Session 1, Session 2, POSTPONED

This is intended to be a mini-adventure using the first edition The Dark Eye rules from an unofficial retroclone translation. Two thieves running a job for a nobleman.

Garret’s Campaign: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, Session 4, POSTPONED

My first dedicated Mythic game. This campaign is a solo play of Pits & Perils based around a single fighter PC. My goal for this game is to play an open world/sandbox style game where I can have my PC make a living or find random adventures.

Ironsworn – Marien the Woods Witch: Session 1, Session 2, ABANDONED

This is a solo game of Ironsworn. My first attempt to play multiple sessions with the engine. It features Marien, an old woods-witch and healer who gets pulled out of Thornfall Wood to heal a cursed boy. I ended up quitting this game–the Ironsworn rules really just ended up not appealing to me.

Open-Ended Solo Game with RPGSolo Rules: Session 1, Session 2, Session 3, ABANDONED

A free-form game with no planning and no major game rule set, played using the rpgsolo.com site at a time when all my gaming stuff was put into storage.

Starforged – Mocker: Session 1, ABANDONED

My first game of Ironsworn: Starforged. Alex ‘Mocker’ Kade, a free trader, ends up going on a variety of random adventures in the Outlands of the Forge. A pretty exciting adventure, and I end up learning a lot about the system in this game that I plan to incorporate into future games. This was actually a fun game that I played all the way through to the end, but I made the mistake of playing on paper and it ended up being too much trouble to transcribe onto the blog.
