BuddyBoss is a powerful platform for building online communities, membership sites, and social networks on WordPress. With the AFI plugin, you can automate workflows by sending BuddyBoss activity data (such as friendships, group memberships, posts, and replies) to connected platforms in real time.

Example Trigger Descriptions

✅ Friendship Events

  • Friendship Requested / Accepted
    Trigger when a user sends or accepts a friend request. You can send both users’ info including names, emails, and avatars to CRMs or email tools.

✅ Forum Activity

  • New Topic / New Reply
    Capture bbPress forum activity from BuddyBoss, including full topic/reply content, forum metadata, and user details.

✅ Group Membership

  • Join Group / Leave Group / Membership Accepted / Invited / Removed
    Send detailed group and user data when a user joins, leaves, or is invited to a group.

✅ Posted Update

  • Posted Group Update
    Trigger when a user posts an update inside a group, including group info, activity content, and author details.

✅ User Registration

  • Activated User / Avatar Uploaded / Invited User Activated / Registered via Invite

Each event includes relevant user and entity details such as:

  • User ID, First Name, Last Name, Email, Avatar URL, Nickname

  • Group ID, Name, Slug, URL, Description

  • Forum and Topic ID, Titles, Slugs, Content

  • Inviter and Invitee details

How to Start

To set up the BuddyBoss integration:

  1. Go to AFI > Add New in your WordPress admin panel.

  2. Choose BuddyBoss as the Trigger Platform.

  3. Select the appropriate Trigger Point (e.g., Friendship Accepted, New Topic).

  4. In the Action Platform, select the service where you want the data to go.

  5. Map the available BuddyBoss fields to the destination fields.

Click Save, and your integration is live!
