Overview

The AFI plugin allows you to connect your WordPress forms with Selzy, an easy-to-use email marketing service. With this integration, when someone submits your form, their data will automatically be added to your selected Selzy mailing list.

This is perfect for building your newsletter audience, email campaigns, and lead nurturing workflows.

🔧 How To Setup

Step 1: Get Your API Key

To connect your Selzy account:

  1. Log in to your Selzy dashboard.

  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Integrations & API.

  3. Click Show Full and copy the API Key.

Step 2: Connect Selzy in AFI

  1. Go to AFI → Settings → Selzy

  2. Paste your API Key into the field

  3. Click Save Changes

Now your Selzy account is connected.

Step 3: Create a New Integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New

  2. Add a Title like “Subscribe User to Selzy”

🔹 Trigger

  • Form Provider: Select your form plugin (e.g., WPForms, Elementor, Gravity Forms)

  • Form Name: Choose the form you want to connect

Step 4: Configure the Action

  • Platform: Select Selzy

  • Task: Choose Add Contact to List

Step 5: Map Fields

After selecting the task, the following options will appear:

  • List
    Select the mailing list where the contact will be added

  • Skip Double Opt-in
    Enable this option if you want to skip the confirmation email

  • Field Mapping
    Map your form fields to Selzy fields like Email, Name, and Phone

Each field on the left comes from Selzy — use the dropdown to map each to your form field input.

Step 6: Save Integration

Click Save Integration at the bottom.

🎉 That’s it! When someone submits your form, their contact information will be sent to Selzy and added to the selected list.

🌟 AFI Pro Features

Using AFI Pro unlocks enhanced functionality with Selzy:

  • Use custom fields available in your Selzy account

  • Add tags and advanced segmentation values

To use these, create a new integration and select Selzy [PRO] from the platform dropdown.

🔍 Troubleshooting

If something isn’t working as expected:

🔹 API Key Not Working

  • Ensure your API Key is copied correctly from Selzy

  • Go to Profile → Settings → Integrations and regenerate the key if needed

🔹 Mailing Lists Not Loading

  • Make sure your API Key is saved correctly

  • Click on the List dropdown again to refresh

🔹 Contact Not Being Added

  • Ensure the email field is mapped and not empty

  • Confirm that the selected list ID is valid

  • Check the AFI → Log tab for API errors

🔹 Double Opt-in Issue

  • If you’re not receiving confirmation emails, ensure double opt-in is not disabled

  • Enable or disable the Skip Double Opt-in option as needed
