CleverReach
Overview
The AFI plugin enables you to connect your WordPress forms with your CleverReach account. This allows automatic subscriber addition to your email lists. Once someone fills out a form on your site, their data is instantly pushed to CleverReach and added to the selected group.
This is a perfect solution for growing your mailing list or automating lead collection.

How To Setup
Step 1: Connect Your CleverReach Account
Before setting up an integration, you must authenticate your CleverReach account.

Go to AFI > Settings > General

Enable CleverReach from the platform list and click Save Changes

A CleverReach tab will appear at the top – click on it

Enter your Client ID and Client Secret
How to Get Client ID and Secret:

Log in to your CleverReach account

Navigate to My Account > OAuth Apps (or API > OAuth Apps)

Click Create New App
-
Add the required details and copy the generated Client ID and Client Secret

In the Redirect URI field of the app, paste the URI shown on the plugin settings page

Click Authorize to connect your account securely using OAuth 2.0
Once connected successfully, the status will change to Connected
Step 2: Create a New Integration

Go to AFI > Add New

You’ll land on the integration setup screen
Title
Give your integration a name like “CleverReach Newsletter Signup” to keep things organized.
Trigger

Form Provider: Choose the plugin you’re using (e.g., Contact Form 7, Elementor, WPForms, etc.)

Form Name: Select the form you want to connect
Step 3: Configure the Action
Platform
Select CleverReach
Task
Choose Subscribe to List
This action will add or update a contact in the selected CleverReach group whenever the form is submitted.
Step 4: Map Fields
After selecting a group, AFI will load all available fields from CleverReach:

Group: Select the target CleverReach list/group

Email: Map this required field to the form field that collects the user’s email

Custom Fields: All available CleverReach attributes (like First Name, Last Name, etc.) will appear for mapping
Each field on the left is from CleverReach, and the dropdowns on the right let you map them to your form fields.
Step 5: Save Integration
Click Save Integration at the bottom.
That’s it! Your CleverReach connection is ready. Any new form submissions will now add the user to the selected CleverReach group.
Troubleshooting
If the integration is not working as expected:

Go to AFI > Log

Find the latest log entry related to CleverReach

Check:
-
Was the correct group selected?
-
Was the email field filled?
-
Was the CleverReach API connection successful?
-
Did CleverReach return any error?
-
Make sure:
-
The Client ID and Secret are correct
-
The selected group exists
-
The email field is always filled (it is required)
