Overview

The AFI plugin allows you to connect your WordPress forms with Campaigner, enabling automatic subscription of users to your Campaigner email lists. Whenever someone fills out a form on your site, the data is sent directly to your selected Campaigner list.

This is perfect for email marketing, newsletter signups, and lead generation.

🔧 How To Setup

Step 1: Connect Your Campaigner Account

Before you can create an integration, you need to add your Campaigner API key.

  1. Go to AFI → Settings → General

  2. Enable Campaigner from the platform list and click Save Changes

  3. A new Campaigner tab will appear at the top — click on it

  4. Enter your API Key

📌 How to Get Your API Key:

  • Log into your Campaigner account

  • Go to Create and Manage API Keys

  • Generate or locate your API Key

  • Copy and paste the key into the plugin settings

  • Click Save Changes

Step 2: Create New Integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New

  2. You’ll land on the New Integration setup screen

🔹 Title

Give your integration a meaningful name (e.g., “Subscribe to Newsletter – Campaigner”)

🔹 Trigger

  • Form Provider: Choose your form plugin (e.g., WPForms, Elementor, Contact Form 7)

  • Form/Task Name: Select the form you want to connect

Step 3: Configure the Action

Platform

Select Campaigner

Task

Choose Subscribe to List

This task will subscribe the user to your selected Campaigner email list upon form submission.

Step 4: Map Fields

Once the task is selected, you’ll be able to configure the following options:

🔹 Campaigner Account

Choose your Campaigner account (based on stored credentials)

🔹 Campaigner List

Select the target list you want new subscribers to be added to

The plugin will fetch your available Campaigner lists using the selected credentials.

🔹 Subscriber Fields

Map the form fields to Campaigner’s fields:

  • Email (required)

  • First Name (optional)

  • Last Name (optional)

Each left-hand field is from Campaigner; map them to your form fields using the dropdowns on the right.

Step 5: Save Integration

Click Save Integration at the bottom.

🎉 You’re done! From now on, form submissions will automatically subscribe users to your selected Campaigner list.

🔍 Troubleshooting

If the integration isn’t working:

  1. Go to AFI → Log

  2. Check the logs for your Campaigner requests

Ensure:

  • The correct API Key was used

  • The selected list exists

  • Required fields like Email were mapped and filled

  • No API error was returned
