I swear I exist. Have just been really busy. So, what have I been up to?
*My sister has been here about the last 4-6 weeks. She likes to go out and listen to music at night, so I've been balancing that with time for riding (because I ride at night).
*My siamese assholes, er cats, are still pissed that my sister's cat is here, so they are peeing more often in inappropriate places. Joy. They're also still pissed about the puppy.
*Speaking of which, Kitty is gigantic, and not done growing. She's got so much energy, and minimal self control (although it's getting better). She's been banned from the house except on a leash because of the cat chasing. I can send her to good girl camp after she's 6 months, which will be mid May. Will have to think about when.
*Have done some clinics with Zolar, which have really helped-since they were with dressage trainers. Also figured out that I really need to get him through. And don't be a lazy ass. Yes, I know. Committed to second level after getting better scores in second than first the first two shows of the year. Also, I made my goal for the first level test, so we're good. Our yearly Pilates for Dressage clinic is coming up in two weeks, then another dressage clinic a few weeks after that. whee!
*It will be better getting to the clinics because two weeks ago I bought: !!!!!!!! I've been wanting a bigger truck for a while, and have occasionally been looking on cargurus, not finding anything near me. I looked just for fun two weeks ago, and poof, exactly what I wanted, right color and everything, literally a few miles down the road! USAA was way too happy to lend me the money.lol Let me tell you, it is bad-ass. And it's got all the new fun stuff because it's a 2018.
*Because of said new truck the trailer has to have the the plug for lights and brakes changed so I can use the fun new trailer controls in the truck. Also getting the yearly maintenance on the trailer. Was supposed to be done last week, but wasn't, as far as I know. Haven't talked to them yet.
*Car bad news is that I took my Volvo in for a weird annoying sound. Took them two days to find it-they told me they had four guys in the car with stethoscopes while they drove it around. Cracks me up. It's been in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks because it was the turbo. They had to get a new one from Volvo, and then they kept finding sections they needed to order. And they have to replace the mirror on the driver's side, and the windshield washer on the driver's side. I keep hoping it'll be done, but then it's not.
*My parents have been here since last Tuesday. My dad's birthday is today (he's 84), so they wanted to be here for Easter. I made them come early so they could experience the whole Episcopal Holy Week. And they did every service - Thursday night, Friday noon, Friday at 5, Saturday night, and Sunday morning! The only thing extra I did was the Vigil Thursday night after service until 10. Since my mom can't get in my truck, we've been doing a mixture of my sister driving us, and me swapping out my truck for their car at the hotel.
*I had no idea a 6oz steak was only a few hundred calories. WTF?
*Most of the writing I've been doing is for my blog. The last two posts were like pulling teeth. Hopefully this one will flow better.
*Have been mostly reading a shitton of fanfic, and replying to other people's blogs. Oh, and throwing balls for Kitty because she LOVES IT.
*That's all I have for now.
*Oh, except I got myself a 'I didn't have to give the government all my money gift', and finally got an appropriate sized TV for the living room. My sister helped me spend my money by encouraging me to get a sound bar and subwoofer. Had the Geeks install it, which was so worth it. But now I can read the writing on the TV instead of just squinting and guessing.
*And I just finished Black Summer on Netflix. It was really good. I hope there's a season two. The very end was both confusing and expected. :)
