Active WebTraffic submits your website to some private website directories and then it exposes the website on ads. This is the way these applications typically work to drive the traffic to your website.
There isn't a trick disguised. It's just the link of the website submitted to multiple directories and people click on these links.

This product doesn't appear to be available anymore. I've checked their website, but there is no trace about it which means it's impossible to obtain help. Typically, these applications have built-in Help and you should check it through Help > Contents or look in the installation folders.
