The Auxiliary has numerous committees dedicated to supporting AbilityPath and their participants

Work in collaboration with AbilityPath’s executive team on a public awareness and advocacy initiative to educate and inform Californians about the importance and value of inclusion for everyone, and for critically important need for state and federal funding to maintain services for those in our communities with developmental disabilities
HISTORIAN/PUBLIC RELATIONS
Responsible for maintaining Auxiliary records and historical information and for promoting the activities of the Auxiliary through local media
HOLIDAY BALL COMMITTEE
Assist with the planning of our Holiday Ball for the adult participants in the AbilityPath programs (Daytime event with games, lunch, and a visit from Santa)
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
Organize members’ monthly meetings either logistically or by providing refreshments
LET THE GAMES BEGIN COMMITTEE
Help plan and participate in the Annual Fundraiser.
MEMBERSHIP CHAIR
Maintain records of members’ attendance and volunteer hours, compiles membership directory and reviews new members’ applications
PROVISIONAL CHAIR
Responsible for Provisional Members’ introduction and orientation to the Auxiliary
SUMMER PICNIC COMMITTEE
Plan and coordinate summer picnic for the adult participants in AbilityPath’s programs, who have developmental disabilities (Daytime event with games, dancing, and lunch)
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR COMMITTEE
Identify and coordinate volunteer activities for Auxiliary members to support AbilityPath participants and staff.

Our Mission
Since 1950, the AbilityPath Auxiliary has supported children and adults with special needs through the programs and services of AbilityPath. The Auxiliary strives to encourage and enhance personal growth in those we serve by providing financial support to AbilityPath and volunteering at special events.
