This study investigates the impact of leadership style (transformational and transactional) on em... more This study investigates the impact of leadership style (transformational and transactional) on employees' job satisfaction. A mixed-method approach has been used for data collection. The studied population was employees of the CIT sector in Egypt. Through nonprobability convenience sampling, 388 administrated questionnaires and 10 interviews were accurately collected and analysed. Thematic analysis was chosen to analyse the qualitative data; the statistical package for social science (SPSS) version (26) IBM was used to analyse the quantitative data. The findings of the study support that transformational and transactional leadership styles significantly affect job satisfaction among employees in a positive manner. The study is limited to the examination of two leadership styles, neglecting other styles that could affect employees' job satisfaction levels. This study is limited to assessing employees of the CIT sector, neglecting employees in different fields. The findings of this study contribute to providing a guideline model to top management that illustrates the significant leadership style that impacts employee job satisfaction. In addition, this study guides the specific behaviours needed from each leadership style in order to be significant in influence.

Design/methodology/approach: A mixed-method approach has been used for data collection. A selfstructured questionnaire with non probability convenience sampling was carried out for collecting the quantitative data.500 surveys were delivered to the employees in all different management levels, but 388 respondents completed the questionnaires, making the response rate 78%.SPSS version (26) IBM has been used to statistically analyze the collected quantitative data. ANOVA and Multiple Regression P-Value are used to test this study's hypotheses. The semi-structured interviews have been done with 10 managers using the judgmental sampling strategy. Thematic analysis was selected as a method for analyzing the qualitative data. Findings: The findings of the study support that transformational and transactional leadership styles significantly positively affect job satisfaction among employees. Research limitations: The study is limited to the examination of two leadership styles, neglecting other styles that could affect employees' job satisfaction levels. Empirical implications: The findings of this study contribute to providing a guideline model to top management containing which behaviors of leadership should be followed when hiring managers in this sector. Top management must focus on specific behaviors related to both leadership styles that lead to increased satisfaction among employees at work.

Given the rapid adoption of Instagram marketing and the inadequate research in that field, the objective of this paper is to examine whether “following” brands on Instagram fan pages enhances consumer–brand relationship from the consumer perspective. The data were collected from consumers who follow Instagram fan pages of the four telecommunication companies that are operating in Egypt using an online questionnaire. The telecommunication industry is one of the major industries that rely heavily on Instagram marketing in Egypt. The results indicated that fan page following positively and significantly influences the consumers’ brand love and sense of brand community. Also, the findings indicated the consumers’ brand love positively impacts consumers’ purchase intention and word of mouth. Finally, it showed that consumers’ sense of brand community impacts their purchase intention and word of mouth positively. This article contributes theoretically by expanding the focus of brand community literature to fan pages as an innovative form of social media brand communities. Furthermore, it provides recommendations to practitioners to follow when managing Instagram fan pages.

The purpose of this paper is to study how companies communicate their corporate social responsibi... more The purpose of this paper is to study how companies communicate their corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices on their Facebook pages, and it also investigates the impact of this content type on consumer engagement behaviours. Based on content analysis of the biggest twenty corporate Facebook pages in Egypt, it was found that these companies focus on non-CSR posts more than CSR posts. However, the findings showed that the CSR posts received the highest number of likes, comments and shares if compared to other content types. This article provides social media managers with some guidelines for effective posting strategies when adopting Facebook marketing. Specifically, it recommends that corporations use this social network to communicate CSR practices to consumers. Since the adoption of Facebook in CSR activities by many corporations is a relatively new practice, this article provides practitioners with some guidelines to follow.

The authors explore the nature of commitment, job satisfaction and job characteristics, and the n... more The authors explore the nature of commitment, job satisfaction and job characteristics, and the nature of the interrelationships among these variables concerning expatriate employees in Saudi Arabia. An examination of a sample of 504 expatriate employees reveals that these employees are, by and large, indifferent with respect to their perceptions of commitment, job satisfaction, and job characteristics. In addition, the results provide strong support for (1) the influence of job satisfaction on commitment, (2) the influence of job variety on commitment, and (3) the influence of job autonomy, identity, and feedback on job satisfaction.

The global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic impacted nations and enterprises in the tourism indu... more The global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic impacted nations and enterprises in the tourism industry. This paper explored how nations can use nation branding during the COVID-19 pandemic to promote optimism in order to stimulate tourism when the peak of the crisis is over. The research pursued to answer the research question: what nation-branding strategies can be used to aid nations in promoting future tourism demand? The research conducted semi-structured interviews with 20 potential tourists from different nations until saturation level was met (people who enjoy to travel and seek to travel once the COVID-19 crisis passes). According to the interviews, nine main themes emerged: citizens are living, buying, and thinking differently; citizens are striving to adapt to a new normal; the COVID-19 pandemic reduced-contact channels to get goods/ services; the "endless layover" feeling is stirred by the COVID-19 pandemic; consumers want extra reassurance to resume traveling activities; citizens are waiting for indicators beyond lifted restrictions before regularly engaging in traveling to a specific destination; domestic tourism is expected in the coming period; hit the brakes on marketing and promote values of humanity; the virus changed the way people use the Internet, rising in-home media consumption. With these findings, this study provided recommended plans for nation branding to help take the necessary actions to ensure and prepare for the future recovery of the tourism market.
