NEW!!! Engineering Summer Commencement ceremony

We just received word that the College of Engineering IS planning to hold a summer commencement ceremony for Engineering summer graduates, now. It will include official administrators and caps/gowns, but as with any commencement ceremony, diplomas will be mailed out later.

All we know at this point, is the event will be held in August and they’ll share specific details as to date/time/place once those are available. Students will be required to register for the event. Since this is not an official Purdue Commencement, you will not register for it within the commencement portal.

ME will still hold a summer candidate reception for our graduates. Keep an eye out for an email to RSVP when it’s been scheduled.

Students will still need to register to graduate in summer ’26, if you’ll be completing your degree requirements in the summer. Registered graduates will still need to confirm diploma name and mailing address when the commencement portal opens. OGSPS has announced the degree award date will be August 7, the last day of the term. It will post to your transcript, once OGSPS has processed summer candidate audits and have been able to confirm you’ve met all degree requirements. Graduates should expect to see their diploma in the mail about 6-8 weeks after the summer term ends, although you’ll have the ability to order the electronic version of your diploma earlier.

Graduates should review the ME grad website, graduation/candidacy webpage and plan to attend the virtual informational meeting on the subject, as we’ll announce there more information as it becomes available (details/link on ME grad blog, home page).

When we know more, we’ll post the information to the blog.
