CBRN decontamination teams are using decontamination technique to minimize exposure to hazardous agents and limit the spread of contamination. The disposables decontamination means and methods are very divers, and an evaluation of the most appropriate aspects often encountered in the real cases could determine the adequate organization approach to be used.

The aim of the study is to optimize the contrast in laser marking of Steel 75. The influence of the step in the raster marking and the influence of the repetition frequency of the pulses on the reflection coefficient were analysed. The experimental investigations of the reflectance were carried out using a spectrophotometer. For the marked samples, it was found that when directing electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength in the studied range, there are areas with absorption and reflection of light. The reflectance is plotted as a function of marking step and laser frequency for the marked Steel 75 samples.

According to the trends in the use of laser technologies for military applications, the need to acquire knowledge in the field of “Laser Safety” has also been proven. The report substantiates the need to train cadets and students in a military university. A curriculum on “Laser Safety” is proposed and what knowledge and skills future officers should acquire are indicated.

At the very beginning of the development of this technology, they already predicted a completely universal applicability, from the very beginning the prospect of solving various problems was visible, even though some tasks were not even visible on the horizon at that time. Monochromatic laser radiation can be obtained in principle at any wavelength, both in the form of a continuous wave with a certain frequency and in the form of short pulses lasting up to fractions of a femtosecond. Focusing on the studied sample, the laser beam is subjected to nonlinear optical effects, which allows researchers to perform spectroscopy by changing the frequency of light, as well as to perform coherent analysis of processes by controlling the polarization of the laser beam. Such wastes can be toxic chemicals and flammable or radioactive substances, including industrial waste from chemical plants or nuclear reactors, agricultural waste, pesticides, fertilizers, medical waste or hazardous household waste such as toxic dyes or solvents. CBRN waste should be safely recycled without harm to the environment. Toxic chemicals, radioactive substances or biological materials should be concentrated for final disposal.
