ECOOP 2026
Mon 29 June - Fri 3 July 2026 Brussels, Belgium

Demo track provides authors with a great opportunity to share ideas or results on innovative techniques, prototypes, tools, and all other contributions whose values can be fully expressed through demonstration. The track aims to attract the audience to experience the practical values of the demonstrated contributions and to get involved by exchanging knowledge, discussing ideas, and initiating collaboration.

We encourage all authors whose study relies on an innovative idea implemented in a technique, prototype or tool, to participate in this demonstration event, to share their experience, to provoke valuable discussion and to obtain precious feedback. Furthermore, we invite authors of accepted contributions to be presented in other conference tracks, to submit complementary content for the demonstration and to provide their audience with the full experience. While a research contribution aims to provide background information and highlight the scientific contribution, the demonstration offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate technical and engineering aspects of the presented scientific approach and its implementation and usage while highlighting their influence on the presented contribution.

We will accept a wide range of contributions from early ideas built in experimental prototypes to fully developed products.

Call for Demos

ECOOP invites submissions on contributions that may benefit from the demonstration of a tool, technique, or other kinds of practical solutions. The submissions should complement previously published contributions, or one accepted for presentation and publication in a sense of approach, aspect, or presentation. Still, a complementary practical demonstration may provide presentational completeness to the technical and research contribution. To provide transparency, please cite the published contribution that is the subject of the demonstration, or the one just submitted or accepted for publication (e.g. to ECOOP 2026).

Apart from practical aspects suitable to be demonstrated, and mentioned complementarity, submissions are expected to:

  • Demonstrate a tool, technique or other practical contribution on a topic within ECOOP scope;
  • Demonstrate a tool, technique, or other practical contribution that has NOT been presented before within a demonstration or similar track;
  • Provides motivation and the need for the practical contribution, describes its novelty, applicability, usefulness, etc.
  • Describes requirements, architecture, internal and external functionalities, and provides a deep practical understanding of internal aspects of the solution.
  • Illustrates internal and external aspects of the solution that bring practical value by adequate examples (not necessarily large-scale and real-life examples)
  • Provides access to the presented version of the tools, technique or other solution, ideally including the illustrative examples/data sets.

Submission on demo contributions should be 4 to 6 pages long, including all figures, tables and bibliography, following the official ACM Master article template,

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least three members of the international program committee. Accepted and presented demonstrations aim to be published in ACM Digital Library.
