Park Central Library Tours at the Free Library of Philadelphia
ALA Annual Conference attendees are invited to an exclusive tour of our grand Beaux-Arts building, Parkway Central Library, during the conference. Limited spaces are available.
There are five (5) available time slots for ALA-exclusive tours:
- Thursday, June 26 at 1:00pm
- Friday, June 27 at 11:00am, 1:00pm, or 3:00pm
- Saturday, June 28 at 1:00pm
The Parkway Central Library, located at 1901 Vine Street, an important part of Philadelphia's past and present. It was opened to the public in 1927 on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. These specialized tours will showcase the unique architecture and history of Philadelphia's flagship library, while covering the many collections and services that make the Free Library a valuable and crucial resource in Philadelphia and beyond.
